The Downtown Y will be closed over the weekend to move our computers and technology needs. We look forward to seeing you Monday, July 11 at 1447 Hampton Street!


Current members who rent lockers:
All lockers must be cleaned out 8 p.m. on Friday, July 8. We are excited to help you set up a locker at the new Y! If you are a current member, we want to ensure that you get first pick of a locker rental at the new facility. Please feel free to stop by and pick out your locker at 1447 Hampton Street at any of the following times before the new facility opens:
  • Thursday, July 7: 4:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Friday, July 8: 8-11 a.m. or 4:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 9: 8-11 a.m.
  • Stop by the front desk anytime after July 11

All new members will be able to purchase locker rentals beginning August 1, but day use will be available.

Partnerships with Drew Wellness Center & SWEAT cycle studio

Drew Wellness Pool is available for Downtown YMCA members' use free of charge, extended through April 2017!

We are grateful to the City of Columbia and the Charles R. Drew Wellness Center for this partnership and offering free memberships to Downtown Y members! Their aquatics facilities were recently renovated and include a heated, eight-lane, 25-meter pool.

To gain access to the Drew Wellness facility, stop by the YMCA front desk and request a letter that shows you are in good standing with your Y membership. Bring the letter to Drew Wellness and they will issue you a free membership through January 15.

Drew Wellness Center is located at 2102 Walker Solomon Way.
SWEAT Cycle Studio is extending a special rate to all members of the Downtown Y. Take unlimited classes for just $29/month if you have a current Y membership!

Unlike traditional cycling classes, added movements will work your shoulders, triceps, biceps, abs and obliques all while your lower body continuously cycles. The result is a calorie-torching, body-toning workout that feels more like a party.

To sign up for SWEAT memberships, stop by the YMCA front desk and request a letter that shows you are in good standing with your Y membership.
